Hypnosis is safe when conducted by a qualified hypnotherapist. Individuals maintain control over their thoughts, feelings, and awareness. It's a natural experience that many people encounter daily, sometimes without even realizing it.
This hypnotic state bears resemblance to moments just before falling asleep or the sensation known as a "runner's high," where individuals are completely focused on the task at hand, disregarding distractions and experiencing a heightened sense of concentration.
For instance, have you ever driven a familiar route, arrived at your destination, and realized you don't recall much of the journey?
Or, when engrossed in a captivating book or movie, individuals may become so absorbed in the narrative that they temporarily disconnect from their environment, oblivious to external stimuli such as people calling their name. In these instances, individuals must consciously bring their focus back to reality to engage with others.
During hypnosis the therapist is just the facilitator of your experience. You are in compete control.
During hypnosis you will never be asked to say or do anything and you will not take on board any suggestions that do not align with your values. You will not be taken back to the past or asked to recall any past experiences.
We all get into a state similar to hypnosis at times. For instance, have you ever driven a familiar route, arrived at your destination, and realized you don't recall much of the journey?

If you can close your eyes and imagine something through sight, sound, feeling or smell, you can be hypnotized.
Each session may be a little different as to how you experience the hypnosis. Typically people get into a hypnotic state faster the more sessions they do.
It is normal to feel a little anxious at the first session but if you simply are able to close your eyes and listen to the voice of the therapist you will benefit from the session even if you do not feel as you expect to feel.
The best thing is to have no expectations of yourself in how you will feel and just know that you are doing it right for you and will benefit.

The session is a total of 60 minutes.
1: Understanding your issue - 15 mins: Your therapist will chat to you to get to know you more and focus on identifying the multi -facets of your specific issues, how your life is impacted, & what change you want to see. .
2: Explaining the hypnotherapy part of the session and answering any questions- 5 minutes.
3: The clinical hypnotherapy session -30-40 mins: The therapist guides you into a deep state of relaxation and uses the knowledge from the chat & her knowledge of the issue you want to overcome to facilitate psychological & behavioral changes. In this state, a person can be guided to explore thoughts, feelings, and alternative ways of being, that might be hidden from their conscious mind.
2: Explaining the hypnotherapy part of the session and answering any questions- 5 minutes.
By tapping into your sub- conscious new thought patterns and beliefs can be more deeply processed and so able to be used and become sustainable new ways of being for you.
4: After the hypnotherapy we have a chat again about your experience of the session and what suggestions for change resonated with you and how you might apply these before your next session. There may be some simple homework for you to do. You will be sent a recording of the session to listen to at home before the next session.
The key factor is how long will it take you to learn new ways of operating in the world and how committed you are to change by doing things like listening to the audio recordings in-between sessions.
You have learnt and developed a pattern of how to operate over many years.The encouraging news is that the advantages of investing relatively minor amounts of time and money in therapy outweigh the costs of maintaining the problem.
Therapeutic modalities like hypnotherapy typically require no more than five to six sessions. The journal of American Health posted evidence from a study that showed hypnotherapy has a 96% success rate in 5-6 sessions compared to Behaviour Therapy having a 76% success rate in 10-12 sessions.

In-person therapy is a proven method for addressing clients' everyday life challenges, backed by evidence of its effectiveness. On the other hand, online therapy is a more recent approach facilitated by technology, maintaining the same theoretical foundations as traditional therapy but conducted through virtual connections between the provider and client rather than face-to-face interactions.
Regardless of whether therapy occurs via video calls or in-person sessions, the key to achieving successful outcomes and maintaining mental well-being lies in selecting an experienced therapist who can tailor their approach to best suit your individual needs.
The client has a certain responsibility also to ensure no distractions when you are on on-line at home, to attend regular sessions, and in between sessions listen to the audio recordings.

I first offer a free 20 minute consultation to get to know you, assess if this therapy is for you and to answer any questions you have. If you choose to go ahead I then offer a minimum package of 3 X 60 minutes sessions for $450. Add on sessions after the first 3 can be purchased in sets of 3 (at $450) or individually for $175 for 1 X 60 minute session.
If I feel Life Empowerment Therapy is not for you I will refer you to something else.
